Hello All,
We lost another good member in Dick Pirk, I have many fond memories talking with Dick about our mutual snow plowing adventures back when he was plowing for the City. He will be missed. Judy, our thoughts and prayers are with you as well as with Matt and Jen Ketchem, our condolences on the passing of Matt’s mother.
Well, we are half way through the year and holding a steady course forward in fairly calm seas. Andy P and I will be planning some neat open club events in the coming months. Some thoughts are an Elvis impersonator night, a comedy night, a Rat Pack night. A Family Day with face painting, pony rides, bounce house and a dunk tank. “Dunk your board members!” (Roy Glenzers Idea!)
Thanks to Andy and Joan Perman for stepping up and taking over the 4th Fest / BBQ. When you see Andy thank him for taking the reins of the Club’s Entertainment …Don’t forget about the Fish Boil this month!
As most of you know Lisa and Tom are our new cooks in the galley. The food is great! The following are a few changes that have been made to try to make our galley more productive.
The Club and the Galley is opening a 4:30 p.m. on Fridays. That’s a half hour earlier to accommodate the early rush. Lisa will also take reservations for any size party. Reservations can also be booked weeks in advance. There is a reservation book next to the coffee machine.
Lisa is now serving Sat. Lunches. The hours are 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. The food is served in baskets and can be served in the bar room and/or outside on the patio. We are hoping that other clubs use our club as a destination spot for lunch when boating. Bring you family and friends! Please come down and make this work. There is hired bartender opening the club Saturdays at 10:30 am. The intention is to serve these Sat. lunches until our boating season ends.
Thanks to all of you that make OUR club work! To those of you on the sidelines; Don’t be shy! Come on down to OUR club! Get involved and have some fun!
Take Care. Stay Positive!
